Year-round support and planning allows association management firm to seize opportunities
While working with the clients of IntrinXec Management Inc. over three years, BPK&Z Partner Gary Turnquist, CPA, often consulted with the Minneapolis-based association management firm. IntrinXec was not a tax client at the time, but Turnquist believed that understanding their business would better serve their clients. After experiencing this proactive approach, founder and CEO Jaime Nolan switched to BPK&Z for IntrinXec's tax planning and filing.

Primarily, consulting centers on IntrinXec to maximize profits and minimize tax liability. While the firm's tax situation is fairly straightforward now, Nolan anticipates the need for more resources and services in the future.
"I need help with business strategy," she said. "I need someone who will draw information out, put it in a document and send it back to me. I need them to help me from start to finish with the direction of my business in the years ahead. I am paying BPK&Z more than my last CPA, but the service I get throughout the year is worth it."
