Ellyn Marell was featured in an article titled “7 Smart Answers to Our 7 Dumb Questions”, which ran in the October/November 2007 issue of Law & Politics magazine. She gave a smart answer to the question: “What is the most common mistake people make when it comes to estate planning?”
John Edson authored the article “ESOP is one way to fund succession”, which was published in the October 2007 issue of Upsize magazine.
BPK&Z was a finalist for the 2007 Upsize Business Builder Awards. The Leaders In Training (LIT) program was submitted to the Best Practices in People and Workplace category. As a finalist in that category, we participated in a panel at the October 25 Upsize Business Builder Awards and Seminar. “Culture Hounds: Employees’ needs take center state for five finalists”, ran in the December 2007 issue of Upsize magazine recapping the panel.
Gary Turnquist authored the article “How much value does your budget add?” The article appeared in the September/October 2007 issue of Precision Manufacturing, the official magazine of the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association.
John Edson was the featured author of the Guest Opinion column in the September 14, 2007 issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The column was titled “The high cost of a free business valuation.”
John Edson authored the article “The Accounting Survival Handbook” in the June 2007 issue of In-House Counsel, a special section of Minnesota Lawyer. The article was a collection of brief, easy-to-understand definitions of common accounting terms for corporate counsel.
Jay Trumbower authored the article “Competing by Buying Your Competition” for the June 2007 issue of the MCA newsletter, Construction Views. This article was also published in the October 2007 of Directions magazine, the official magazine of the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.
Gary Turnquist authored the article “Key Performance Measurements: Identifying and monitoring value-added measures will lead your company to victory.” The article appeared in the May/June issue of the MPMA’s magazine, Precision Manufacturing.
