Susan Madsen Dreier, CPA/ABV, CMA, CVA

Susan has been with the firm for 15 years and currently serves as a Manager in BPK&Z’s business valuation and consulting areas. Susan’s focus the past few years has been business valuation engagements, but she also works with clients on other business issues, including agreed upon procedures and financial forecasts.

In 2000 Susan earned her Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation, and in 2006 she received the ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) designation through the AICPA. Susan’s work in the valuation and consulting areas includes:

• Valuations for
  • Succession planning, including buy/sell agreements, gifting and estates
  • S Corporation elections
  • Transaction analysis,
  • Financial statements, including allocation of purchase price for intangible assets acquired (FAS 141) and annual impairment analyses (FAS 142), and fair value analyses
• Agreed upon procedures
• Financial forecasts
• Internal control studies
• Due diligence
• Fraud investigations

Susan’s strong analytical, research and writing skills provide useful information for clients to make better business decisions and help achieve their business goals.

Susan is also part of the firm’s peer review team providing fellow CPAs with valuable recommendations for practice improvement. She is also responsible for the firm’s internal quality control and monitoring functions.
