David Herbeck, CPA/PFS, ChFC

For 20 years, Dave has been instrumental in providing financial services to BPK&Z’s clients. He was a founder and now leads the company’s financial services firm, BPK&Z Financial Services, LLP. Dave has also served as a shareholder since January of 1999 bringing his insight and experience to the team.

Although other firms may offer wealth management services, Dave’s background in taxation and in-depth knowledge of financial issues is a unique combination of experience that few other financial advisors can claim. Identifying a client’s financial goals and then mapping a strategy to get them there is what Dave works to achieve in every individual situation, knowing financial services are not one-size-fits-all.

Dave began his career as a CPA and then added the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA and the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Seeing the financial impact the loss of a loved one can have on a spouse inspired Dave to author the book, An Act of Love: Preparing Your Spouse for Life Without You.

When Dave isn’t helping someone reach their financial goals, he can be found on the lake fishing, on the golf course or at a Gopher football game. Dave is such a big fan of Gopher football, he started a newsletter about five years ago called The Gopher Tail(gate) Update, which is read by over 1,000 fans.
